Waitara wins two District Awards

At the last Presidents meeting for the current Rotary year, the Rotary Club of Waitara was presented with two prestigious awards:

• Certificate of Achievement for Youth Service - Waitara has a heavy involvement in youth services and has been a long term supporter of Youth Exchange and RYLA in particular.
• Best Small Club - Vocational Service - PP Peter Kirkwood has done an enormous amount of work over the last two years in this area. This work has led to some great new initiatives such as the HOT Awards, links with Hornsby TAFE and links with Hornsby Chamber of Commerce. Peter also led the initiative of combining with Hornsby Rotary for a Pride of Workmanship night and the HOT Awards night.
